I blinked, alarmed, as a voice called our loud and clear, "The footprint is Riolu's! The footprint is Riolu's!" I tried to step away from the grate.
Suddenly regaining my senses, I started to sprint away, down the steps from the canvas tent that took the shape of a Wigglytuff's head. I reached the Crossroads, a four-way stop with a Watering Hole. I kept my feet pounding and my heart beating in ragged heartbeats. My tiny, elevated paws took me, as I slowed, down to the beach path.
I sighed, enchanted, as I paced to a walk and gazed dreamily at the Krabby blow delicate, rainbowy bubbles slowly drifting across the horizon. The sea, with its softly crashing waves, sent calm washing over me. The sunset really was beautiful. I watched the endless sky shimmer away soulfully, the golds and majestic reds and fiery oranges put to rest by rich indigos and heartening cool violets, the sun just tiny wisps of warming coals.
So there I was, admiring the picturesque view, when I saw a lumpy shape in the sand. Curious, I pushed. Some of the sand that was obscuring my view dropped, and, to my astonishment, that lumpy shape was a Vulpix! I desperately tried to wake her. She told me she thought she was a human. Hah, she's funny. But she wasn't kidding, she's not that type.
Afterwards, with renewed confidence, we found ourselves in the Guildmaster Wigglytuff's room. Villie (her name) had suggest Team Snowflake. As I stared admirably at her, as our Exploration Team was being registered.
I'm now really glad to have Villie on my team. She's a smart buyer, and always stores our non-necessities away, as well as our money; so we've got a lot saved up. She's so compassionate, and takes on as many jobs as she can for one day to help as many pokemon as possible in that one place. Always contributing to the community, I can safely say we wouldn't have made the Exploration without her - assuming the Guildmaster wasn't so fun-loving - and we wouldn't have accomplished anything. Dozens of pokemon want to join our team, and of course she always lets them. Usually, she tries to get Butterfree and Plusle to come along with us, met at Apple Forest and Amp Plains, respectively; they're so helpful.
And I sure am glad we did go on that expedition. We may not have learnt much, but the sight of Fogbound Lake made the Krabby scene look like a garbage dump, with Illumise and Volbeat like flying dots of red and pruple, the water spounting up elegantly.
But I can't say she's the only rock in the Team. I'm constantly trying to do well and overcome my non-braveness. I learn moves fast and powerfully and try to understand anything for her.
I run behind her, my paws trailing like the day we met. Off to do another exploration, I suppose. Not that I mind.
We are a wonderful team, even though we may be rookies. This is the story of Team Snowflake.
